According to research, although sit-ups and various forms of crunches will help establish and strengthen muscle tissues, if there are still extra fat hiding these muscles, then the exercise will not do much in helping sculpt the muscles. This is where Mike Geary’s program comes in. In the Truth About Abs programme, nutrition is one of the key elements in achieving these perfect abs. The guide suggests that people eat six smaller meals (as this practice restricts the level of fat intake) along with protein-rich foods every day. Recipes are available in the guide. In terms of exercise routine, what is also worth noting in this book is that fact that it includes abs workouts that do not specifically target the abs but are actually needed to enhance this muscle area. Geary’s entire workout routine demands only three days per week to be completed, making this abs exercise more popular among people who are often preoccupied with their work. People with neck and back injuries, however, need to consult their physician before trying these exercises.
